Why not spend an enjoyable day leisurely cycling the old Mineral Tramways
which runs from Portreath on the North Coast of Cornwall to the quays
at Devoran on the South Coast of Cornwall.
As you travel what were the old rail tracks that carried copper ore and
tin between Portreath and Devoran you will see old historic mines, the
relics of mining operations past and spectacular views You will experience
the breathtaking cornish countryside at its most raw... and yet most spectacular.
The cycle path will lead you through parts of Cornwall's historic countryside
that you would not otherwise get the opportunity to see.
The cycle path, which is suitable for most cyclists, is signposted by
granite waymarkers, directing you along the 11 mile Coast to Coast Tramway
route.
You can join the tramway at the bottom of the road from our lane entrance,
after which the route is mostly off road. Cycle all of the route or perhaps
just part. Either way you will have an enjoyable time.
